Fave DIY Blog Round Up

Can I get a "Heck Yeah" for Pinterest , blogs and all of the amazing resources we have at our fingertips to gather an idea, research an interest, learn a new skill and inspire our hearts to find ourselves and thrive in this world!  I love and cherish curiosity.  What I love even more is a curious person in life.  They never stop learning, stay younger at heart and are open to our ever changing world.  That's why you are right here at this exact moment!  Obviously geared towards a DIY home lifestyle these are my brain's inspirational cheerleaders hopped up on caffeine!

These are my Happy Hour ladies that I go to for a pick-me-up after a long day.  Their knowledge and positivity are wildly infections!

 MISS MUSTARD SEED

MISS MUSTARD SEED

Let's start with my queen, Marion of Miss Mustard Seed.  Her love of home, renewing furniture, stunning home decor photos and diy furniture renew tutorials give even the hesitant of hearts the courage to grab a paint brush, regularly rearrange your home with what you have and rethink the possibility of an old piece of furniture.  Big bow to her!

 THE PAINTED HIVE

THE PAINTED HIVE

When it comes to thorough, tested and honest tutorials on furniture renews and decorating hacks, no one beats Kristine of The Painted Hive .  Let's emphasize the honest insight and troubleshooting that she provides with these projects.  There are too many times I am working through a tutorial where a step or tip is CLEARLY missing so there I am with steam rolling out of my ears and a piece of furniture that not even Goodwill would accept as a donation!  Not to mention if you do have an additional question she responds with record speed!  Her pictures and tutorials feel accessible and not over-staged.  Like the project could be in my real, real everyday life home.  You know the one with the pile of laundry, dog beds in the living room, 7 pairs of shoes scattered from from the front door to the bathroom, music blasting and a door that can never seem to be closed to the garage.  Yup, that one.  Love Kristine's work.

 THE LETTERED COTTAGE

THE LETTERED COTTAGE

My final dose of lovely is Layla of The Lettered Cottage.  She has given me so much cozy home inspiration that I could literally walk around my house and point out so many projects she has inspired from planked walls, minty colored hutch and natural woods paired with soft neutral tones.  She works a lot with neutrals but doesn't ever scale too far on the rustic, beach or cottage chic that you feel like you're trapped in a trendy style.  All of her home projects offer a fresh look that airs on timeless and easy living.

Go on, give your home meaning and character!
